Sometimes participants want to have their scans. | Sometimes participants want to have (access to) their MRI scans. Contrary to scans made for diagnostic purposes at a radiology department, research volunteers do not automatically have the right to gain access to scans made for research purposes. In general, we advise against routinely sharing data with participants. However, it is up to you as the researcher to make this decision. Contrary to scans made for diagnostic purposes at a radiology department, research volunteers do not automatically have the right to gain access to scans made for research purposes. In general, we advise against routinely sharing data with participants. However, it is up to you as the researcher to make this decision.
