For researchers

Some journals (e.g. Neuroimage) ask for a data sharing statement. For cases where the ethics/AVG does not allow deposition in a public database, you can use the following formulation:

"Raw MRI data will be available upon request to the authors. The data is considered personal data pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and can only be shared based on and subject to the <insert name here> policies. Considering the requirements imposed by law and the sensitive nature of personal data, any requests will be addressed on a case-by-case basis, subject to a data usage agreement."
