General
- MRI-scans should be performed by a certified researcher or scanassistent. You can get certified by Pieter Buur, Wietske van der Zwaag or Trijntje Sjoerdsma.
- Book 15 minutes extra than the real scanning time is. So you have enough time for placing the participant in the scanner.
- Please conduct an MRI-safety check before your participant comes to the Center. Otherwise it is possible that they come and are not allowed to go inside the scanner.
- When you’re scanning at least one BHV-er (in-house emergency officer) has to be present in the building. The Spinoza staff will take care of a BHV-er during office hours.
- When scanning patients, you should scan with a minimum of 2 persons.
- If you are scanning a participant/patient and a family member or friend joined this person, this friend or family member has to wait in the waiting room. They are not allowed in the control room.
- If the scanner shows any errors, please write this down in the logbooks with data (in English please).
- Do not lend your badge to someone else
- Do not eat in the control room
- If you have visitors, let them fill in the visitor screenings form before entering the control rooms
- If possible do not disturb other researchers while they are busy scanning
- If you scan outside office hours, please let the security in the AMC (?) know that you are in the building.
- Don’t leave boxes or equipment on the floor. The floor has to be cleared.
- Don't use the toilet in the dressing room next to the scanner, this is intended for disabled people only. Use the toilet around the corner instead. (Trijntje/Pieter)
- Don't shower in the dressing room next to the scanner. The shower head is intended for washing your hair which can be done above the basin. (Pieter)
