  With three ongoing studies using the 3T MRI scanner at the Spinoza Centre, the research group of prof. Christiaan Vinkers aims to investigate the impact of childhood trauma in adults with major depressive disorder and explore new treatment options.

  MRI experiments provide the researcher with an impossible amount of data. In order to distill meaningful information a progressive series of reduction methods are applied to filter out the desired parameters (and ignore others).

• Participate in research

  We investigate the ways in which we reach decisions, what happens when we are sleeping, or how the brain changes with aging. We are looking for people who are willing to undergo MRI sessions to help us in our research.
