Research statement

In my present work, I study patients with visual deficits (hemianopia, glaucoma). The deficits in these patients make it possible to investigate the influence of a systematic lack of visual input on structural changes in the visual cortex by using ultra-high field (7 Tesla) MRI. My scientific interests contain visual perception, neuroimaging and clinical neuropsychology.

Biographical notes

I am working as a research assistant for dr. Alessio Fracasso in the lab of prof. dr. Serge Dumoulin at the Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging and Utrecht University. Next to my work at the Spinoza Centre, I am enrolled in the Neuroscience and Cognition Research Master and Neuropsychology Master at Utrecht University.
